High-efficiency red electroluminescence from europium complex containing a neutral dipyrido(3,2-a:2′,3′-c)phenazine ligand in PLEDs

► We have presented an europium(III) complex of Eu(DBM)3(DPPZ). ► We investigated the optophysical properties of the complex. ► Strong red emission was observed in the PLEDs. ► High-efficiency red emission with a luminance of 1783 cd/m2 was obtained.
