Organic field-effect transistors as new paradigm for large-area molecular junctions

► We studied the charge injection across Au-SAM-Pentacene interface by means of OFET. ► This work demonstrates that OFET can be used as scalable molecular junctions. ► Oligothienyl-based SAMs are promising candidates for technological applications.
