Synthesis and properties of organosoluble polyimides based on novel perfluorinated monomer hexafluoro-2,4-toluenediamine

▶ New highly fluorinated polyimides based on hexafluorotoluenediamine were prepared. ▶ Special technique for one-step polycondensation in benzoic acid melt was developed. ▶ PIs have a good solubility in organic solvents including chloroform. ▶ High fluorine content provides good dielectric and hydrophobic properties of PIs. ▶ Fluorinated PI films have excellent optical transparency in the UV-vis region.
