In situ infrared and EXAFS studies of an Ag cluster in zeolite X

The local structures are investigated by EXAFS for the Ag+-X zeolite up to 300 °C. By evacuation, the coordination number of NAg-O decreases by removal of water molecules. At 300 °C, NAg-Ag becomes 2.9, which indicates the stabilization of Ag clusters in the zeolite framework, as shown by IR results.
