Synthesis and structures of ruthenium(III) complexes with 4-R-2-((2-(pyridin-2-yl)hydrazono)methyl)phenol

► Ru(III) complexes with 4-R-2-((2-(pyridin-2-yl)hydrazono)methyl)phenol were synthesized. ► The complexes were characterized by microanalysis, spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. ► The one-electron paramagnetic complexes have distorted octahedral RuN4O2 coordination spheres. ► Supramolecular structures formed by the solvated complexes via hydrogen bonds are reported.
