Two new 3D network structures: [Cd3(nic)4(N3)2(H2O)]n and [Zn(nic)(N3)]n (nic = nicotinate anion)

Two new metal(II) complexes: [Cd3(nic)4(N3)2(H2O)2]n and [Zn(nic)(N3)]n (nic = nicotinate anion), have been synthesized and found by X-ray crystallography to contain bridging μ-N,O,O′-tridentate nicotinate anions and (μ1,1-N3) azido ligands.
