Synthesis, structural characterization and properties of an optically active mononuclear Mn(IV) complex

A chiral manganese(IV) complex [MnIVL2] · 2DMF was synthesized starting from an enantiopure ligand H2L and MnII(CH3COO)2 · 4H2O in MeOH in the presence of air; the title complex has been characterized by elemental analysis and routine spectral studies including single-crystal X-ray structure determination.
