Synthesis, crystal structure and thermal behaviour of [La(hfa)3(Phen)2] (hfa = hexafluoroacetylacetonate, Phen = o-phenanthroline)

The mixed ligand complex [La(hfa)3Phen2] was obtained by interaction of La(hfa)3 and Phen, and its composition does not depend on the stoichiometry of the reagents. This compounds consists of mononuclear molecules with the coordination number being 10. Thermal behavior and composition of the vapor phase have been studied by thermal analysis and mass-spectrometry using a Knudsen cell.
