Silver metal enhanced photoluminescence of Tm3+ doped GeS2-Ga2S3-CsCl glasses

► The silver embedded glasses are prepared under controlled crystallization. ► The intensity of SPR correlates with the thermal treatment time. ► Greatly enhanced near-IR and UC luminescence of Tm3+ are obtained by the controlled crystallization.
