Structure and optical properties of glasses in systems ZrF4―BiF3―BaF2―PbF2―LnF3

► New fluoride glasses are obtained in the ZrF4―BaF2―BiF3―LnF3 system. ► The structure of glasses is studied by vibration spectroscope methods. ► The studies of inelastic light scattering by Raman spectra of glasses are performed. ► Strong photoluminescence produced by rare earth elements emission was revealed in the glasses. ► Information on the effect of the glass composition on some photoluminescence parameters was obtained.
