Up-conversion enhancement in Er3Â +-Ag co-doped zinc tellurite glass: Effect of heat treatment

► Er3 +:Ag co-doped zinc tellurite glass was prepared by a melt quenching method. ► The glass samples were annealed at 350 °C (above Tg) for different time intervals. ► Surface plasmon resonance absorption peaks were measured. ► TEM image revealed the presence of non-spherical silver nanoparticles. ► Enhancements/quenches in emissions were explained by LSPR and energy transfer processes.
