BaO-B2O3-SiO2-Al2O3 sealing glass for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell

► We have investigated 7 glass formulations and completed the thermal property tests. ► Detailed kinetics and stability of the glass compatible with YSZ and SDC are also investigated. ► The glass 47BaO-21B2O3-27SiO2-5Al¬2O3, performs the best on glass forming ability (GFA). ► The glasses have the matched CTE and aging properties to CeO2-based electrolyte of IT-SOFC.
