Densification modeling of fused silica under nanoindentation

► Linear Drucker-Prager yield criterion well describes fused silica deformation. ► An AFM scan imported to FE code simulates the indentation with real tip geometry. ► Simulation of the calibration experiments to extract the tip area function. ► Larger tip area is obtained by fused silica calibration.
