One-pot synthesis of novel crown ether polysiloxanes: Promising solid state ionophores

► The synthesis and characterization of polysiloxane crown ethers are reported in this work. ► Tetraethylorthosilicate, tetraethylene glycol and sodium metallic were employed as precursors. ► The obtained polysiloxane was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy; 1H, 13C and 29Si NMR; SEM and DSC.
