Volume fluctuations in potassium silicate glass studied by molecular dynamics

► Potassium-silicate glass was prepared by MD under three different regimes. ► Partial volume fluctuations (VF) were introduced with the help of VP tessellation. ► Separation of the dynamic and static VFs anticipates glass transition. ► Glass transition was related to the change of the course of the static VFs. ► Change of the transport regime relates to the change of the course of dynamic VFs.
