Investigation of structural and optoelectronic properties of BaThO3

► Optoelectronic properties of BaThO3 are examined. ► It is found that the bandgap of the material is wide and direct. ► The calculated bandgap of the compound is 5.7 eV. ► It can be used in high frequency UV optoelectronic devices.
