Negative thermal expansion and spontaneous volume magnetostriction of Tb2Fe16Cr compound

The compound Tb2Fe16Cr has a hexagonal Th2Ni17-type structure. Negative thermal expansion was found at 292-556 K. Magnetization measurements show that a Cr atom substituting for a Fe atom increases the Curie temperature of the Tb2Fe17 compound.
