Theoretical analysis and experimental verification of a new dynamic test method for solar collectors

► In this study we developed the numerical solution and test procedure for a new dynamic test method of solar collectors. ► We did experiments verification and quantitative analysis under various unsteady test conditions. ► We did the statistic analysis for the model in the revised manuscript. ► We conclude that the new test method has a high accuracy in predicting collector outlet temperature.
