Experimental characterisation of a Fresnel lens photovoltaic concentrating system

► Extensive experiments for a point focus Fresnel lens PV Concentrator (FPVC) system were conducted. ► Conductive and convective heat transfer were the dominate heat transfer mechanisms in the FPVC system. ► At an extreme operation condition, the solar cell efficiency in the FPVC system was only 7.95%.
