Multiple-input Maximum Power Point Tracking algorithm for solar panels with reduced sensing circuitry for portable applications

► New Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms are presented for multiple solar PV systems. ► The MPPT is single sensor/single controller with low parts count and is suitable for portable PV market. ► MPPT tracking is achieved by interleaving tracking of different solar panels. ► Analytic, simulation and experimental results are presented.
