Optimization of multifunction multi-source solar systems by design of experiments

► Schematic of a multi-source multifunction solar system is proposed and modeled. ► Solar collector surface area and tank volume are the parameters to be optimized. ► Optimization by the design of experiments deduces an optimal system cost. ► Sub-optimal values are also obtained in the a direction deduced by Hessian matrix.
