Texture induced anisotropy in extruded Ti-6Al-4V-xB alloys

►Tensile anisotropy was found in the extruded Ti-B alloys. ►The tensile anisotropy was caused by the α-phase texture of Ti. ►B addition weakened the α-phase texture and hence reduced the tensile anisotropy. ►Debonding was not observed between TiB and Ti matrix during the tensile tests.
