High strain rate mechanical behavior of epoxy under compressive loading: Experimental and modeling studies

▶ High strain rate behavior of epoxy LY556 under compressive loading is presented. ▶ Experimental results are presented in the strain rate range of 683-1890 per second. ▶ Novel non-linear power law is presented for high strain rate behavior. ▶ Stress-strain behavior is predicted up to strain rate of 10,000 per second. ▶ Results presented are unique, informative and useful to the scientific community.
