Processing of AZ31 magnesium alloy by a new noble severe plastic deformation method

▶ A new SPD method was applied on AZ31 magnesium. ▶ SPD of AZ31 alloy was successfully executed at temperature as low as 80 °C. ▶ Outstanding grain refining was achieved during ABE process. ▶ The microstructure goes to higher homogeneity with higher temperature and passes. ▶ Improvement in mechanical properties was measured after ABE.
