Fracture resistance improvement of polypropylene by joint action of core-shell particles and nucleating agent

▶The core-shell particles, which were prepared from melt blending of POE and nano-CaCO3, and different nucleating agents (α-form NA or β-form NA) were first introduced into PP to prepare the super toughened PP materials. ▶NAs control the crystalline structures of PP matrix including the spherulites diameter and the crystal form. ▶NAs and core-shell particles exhibit apparent joint effect in improving the fracture resistance of PP.
