Strain-softening behavior of an Fe-6.5Â wt%Si alloy during warm deformation and its applications

▶ An Fe-6.5 wt%Si alloy exhibits strain-softening behavior after large deformation. ▶ The decrease of the order degree is responsible for the strain-softening behavior. ▶ The strain-softening behavior of Fe-6.5 wt%Si alloy can be applied in cold rolling. ▶ An Fe-6.5 wt%Si thin strip with thickness of 0.20 mm is fabricated by cold rolling.
