Development and characterisation of C-Mn-Al-Si-Nb TRIP aided steel

▶ A CMnAlSiNb (C ≤ 0.20 wt%) TRIP aided steel was made in laboratory. ▶ Heat treatment parameters were selected through various calculations and models. ▶ An encouraging strength-ductility combination was achieved. ▶ %Retained austenite in microstructures was comparable to that predicted through ANN model. ▶ Such a composition is aimed for better coatability and weldability.
