Effect of organoclay platelets on morphology and properties of LLDPE/EMA blends

▶ Closite 20A is more properly dispersed in polymer matrix as compared to Closite 30B. ▶ Closite 20A migrates from the LLDPE phase to EMA phase at a surprisingly higher rate. ▶ Closite®20A mostly located at the EMA phase and provides high impact strength. ▶ The addition of organoclay increases the modulus slightly for all the nanocomposites. ▶ An improved balance between stiffness and toughness is observed for mixer 20AM2.
