Formation of the complete range of Ti5Si3−xGex solid solutions via mechanically induced self-sustained reactions

► Ti5Si3−xGe3 solid solution was synthesised via mechanically induced self-sustaining reaction. ► Good chemical homogeneity was obtained. ► Monophasic products were formed. ► S-shaped lattice parameter deviation was observed.
