Effect of Co addition on martensitic phase transformation and magnetic properties of Mn50Ni40-xIn10Cox polycrystalline alloys

► Co substitution for Ni in MnNiIn has the following effects. ► Widens temperature window for ferromagnetism of austenite. ► Significantly increases magnetization of austenite, to 118 emu/g. ► Significantly enhances thermodynamic driving force for transformation. ► Significantly decreases the martensitic transformation entropy change.
