On the potential of Ti50Au50 compound as a high temperature shape memory alloy

► Ti50Au50 presents a shape memory effect in the range 850-950 K. ► A maximum recovered strain of 3.9 % has been measured by compression tests. ► A two-way SME has been revealed in this compound for the first time.
