Design of single-stage depressed collector for 42Â GHz, 200Â kW gyrotron

► Different computer codes like EGUN, TRAK and ANSYS have been used to design single stage depressed collector for 42 GHz, 200 kW gyrotron. ► The analysis is carried out for non uniform distribution of electron beam on the inner collector wall with maximum peak power of 0.419 kW/cm2. ► We also report the transient and fluid analyses. ► The simulated efficiency of the single stage depressed collector is 63%.
