Magnetoviscous properties of Fe3O4 silicon oil based ferrofluid

► We prepare Fe3O4 silicon oil-based FFs via co-precipitation method. ► We investigate magnetoviscous properties of the silicon oil-based FFs. ► Formation and destruction of aggregations affect magnetoviscous properties of the FFs. ► Time is an effective factor in the evolution of the magnetically induced structures.
