Magnetic properties, phase evolution, and microstructure of melt spun Sm(Co1−zZrz)xCy (x=5-9; y=0-0.15; z=0.03 and 0.06) ribbons

► We studied composition dependence on magnetic properties of melt spun Sm(Co1−zZrz)xCy ribbons. ► C addition slightly modified phase constitution, refined their microstructure, and thus improved magnetic properties. ► Proper Zr and C contents improved magnetic properties and thermal stability.
