Behavior of a free surface of a magnetic fluid containing a magnetizable cylinder

► We examine theoretically, experimentally free surface of magnetic fluid in useful uniform static or dynamic magnetic field. ► There is a magnetizable cylinder in a volume of a magnetic fluid. ► The cases of the various directions of a magnetic field are considered. ► The experimental data are compared to theoretical calculations.
