Investigations on structural and magnetic properties of cobalt ferrite/silica nanocomposites prepared by the coprecipitation method

►CoFe2O4 nanoparticles were formed with homogeneous distribution in the SiO2 matrix. ►Annealing temperature and annealing time are optimized by carefully monitoring the synthesis conditions. ►Magnetic parameters Ms, Mr and Hc attained high values of 26.31 emu/g, 15.90 emu/g and 17.25 kOe, respectively. ►The method provides an easy route to synthesize CoFe2O4/SiO2 composites at mass production level at low temperatures.
