Optimizing low loss silver nanowires structure metamaterial at yellow light spectrum with differential evolution

► A double negative NIM composed of silver nanowires structure was presented. ► The geometrical parameters of structure were optimized by differential evolution (DE). ► The electromagnetic characteristic of DE-designed optimal solution is analyzed. ► A two-dimensional wedge-shaped model is designed for negative refraction simulation. ► It provides a simple guide for the design of other NIMs of even higher performance.
