Emergence of complex networks from diffusion on fractal lattices. A special case of the Sierpinski gasket and tetrahedron

► A new mechanism of evolution for scale-free complex networks is proposed. ► The preferential attachment rule is not necessary to construct such networks. ► It is shown that they reveal some basic properties of classical scale-free nets.
