Amplitude death in nonlinear oscillators with indirect coupling

► Amplitude-death phenomenon is observed in indirectly coupled nonlinear oscillators with frequency mismatch. ► Chaotic Rössler oscillators and Hindmarsh-Rose neuron model systems are studied. ► This kind of indirect interaction through a common environment is quite common in natural systems with frequency mismatch.
