Exact solitary-wave solutions with compact support for the modified KdV equation

In this paper, the modified KdV equation, ut + u2ux + uxxx = 0, which exhibits compactons: solitons with compact support, is investigated. New solitary solutions with compact support are developed by using the decomposition method and symbolic computation system, Maple.
