We found 55 samples of 40 different specialities : 22% were analgesics and anti-inflammatory medicines, 9% were benzodiazepines, 5.5% were for cardiology, 3.5% were antibiotics and seven packagings were found intacts. Only 47.3% of the drugs were registred in the therapeutic booklet of the hospitals. This is an important phenomenon which relates to the hospital drugs as well as the drugs of comfort and well-being. The hospital system seems to attract drug consumers, among the hospital staff themselves, and among the visitors. This deserves to be studied more in detail because it is likely to allow a diversion of the hospital drugs (analgesics, psychotropics). Moreover it disturbs the hospital circuit of drugs by introducing clandestine treatments and creating parallel circuits, to the detriment of safety and transparency.
