The small GTPase Rac1 is involved in the maintenance of stemness and malignancies in glioma stem-like cells

► The Rho family GTPase Rac1 is involved in maintenance of glioma stem-like cells. ► Down-regulation of Rac1 suppressed stemness markers and malignancy of glioma cells. ► Also, decrease of Rac1 suppressed tumor formation in xenograft model. ► Inhibition of Rac1 sensitized glioma stem-like cells to radiation and etoposide.
