Responses of yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco Richardson) exposed to dietary cyanobacteria and subsequent recovery

► Cyanobacteria caused a significant reduction in the growth rate of yellow catfish. ► Hepatocytes were arranged in a circular wreath-like pattern in the high-dose group. ► Muscle MCs could be still not safe for human consumption after a 60-day depuration. ► Fish previously exposed to the low-dose group could have a full recovery. ► Fish previously exposed to the high-dose group did not get a complete recovery.
