High dose antigen treatment with a peptide epitope of myelin basic protein modulates T cells in multiple sclerosis patients

► Chronic progressive MS patient PBMC has an anergic response to mitogen. ► Mitogen response is reversed after treatment with high dose antigen. ► Increased circulation of CD4+CD25hiFoxP3+ in patients after treatment. ► CD25 (IL2RA) increase after treatment could be leading to control of free IL2. ► IFN-γ could be signaling a return of immune regulation.
