Enhancement of supercooling capacity and survival by cold acclimation, rapid cold and heat hardening in Spodoptera exigua

► Supercooling capacities and survivals are correlated with cold acclimation in Spodoptera exigua. ► Survivals of S. exigua increased by thermoperiod + RCH/RHH. ► Cross resistance between RCH and RHH don't increase the survivals of S. exigua.
