Primordial germ cell proliferation is impaired in Fused Toes mutant embryos

►Fused toes mutant mice have severely reduced numbers of primordial germ cells starting at E10.5. ►Reduced primordial germ cell numbers is due to impaired proliferation not increased apoptosis. ►Primordial germ cell migration is not affected and gonads form.
