Endothelial differentiation in multipotent cells derived from mouse and human white mature adipocytes

► White adipocytes give rise to multipotent so-called dedifferentiated (DFAT) cells. ► The DFAT cells are able to spontaneously undergo endothelial differentiation. ► Bone morphogenetic proteins 4 and 9 have pro-angiogenic effects in the DFAT cells.
