MCP-1-induced protein attenuates endotoxin-induced myocardial dysfunction by suppressing cardiac NF-кB activation via inhibition of IкB kinase activation

► MCPIP plays a key role in the regulation of inflammation in the heart. ► Cardiac-specific expression of MCPIP protects against LPS-induced myocardial inflammatory response and ventricular dysfunction. ► LPS-induced cardiac oxidative stress and NF-кB signaling cascade are inhibited by MCPIP expression. ► Targeting MCPIP may have therapeutic values to protect heart from inflammatory pathologies.
