Coordinated interactions between actin and microtubules through crosslinkers in neurite retraction induced by lysophosphatidic acid

► LPA induces neurite retraction via actin-dependent microtubule rearrangement. ► We examine the involvement of the crosslinker proteins in this effect. ► The microtubule-binding domains of MACF suppress LPA-induced neurite retraction. ► This inhibition is due to microtubule stabilization and dissection from actin.
