Investigation of hearing protection effects in an extreme noise environment with an alarm location problem

The study provides facility planners and safety engineers with a model that may assist in positioning alarms in a noisy environment. The results may help to support the national standard of hearing protection use. In addition, the results may provide guidelines to solve other alarm location problems relating to the intensity of sound.
